⚠️ Important – Power Requirements

To ensure proper performance and avoid permanent damage, the power supply must be:
220VAC ±5% (acceptable range: 209V to 231V)
Failure to meet this requirement will void the warranty.

Magnetism Notes

Overview

Heat affects magnetic field strength. Excessive coil temperature will reduce the holding force of the magnetic brake and may cause long-term damage. Proper cooling and adherence to the duty cycle are required for safe and reliable operation.

Duty Cycle and Heating

30% Duty Cycle (Critical)

This magnetic brake is designed for a 30% duty cycle.

  • If the bending bed (magnet surface) becomes too hot to touch, the machine must be shut down immediately.

  • Allow the brake to cool fully before resuming operation.

  • Operating beyond the duty-cycle limit can cause overheating and permanent coil damage.

Heat Generation

When the magnet coils are energized, electrical current produces heat.
To reduce heat buildup:

  • Energize the coils only for the duration needed to hold and bend the material.

  • Avoid leaving the magnet energized between bends.

  • In areas with high ambient temperature or poor airflow, use an external fan to improve cooling.

Residual Magnetism

Magnetization of Clamping Bars

Steel components such as clamping bars will become weakly magnetized after repeated exposure to the magnetic bed.
This is normal and does not affect machine performance.

Behavior Over Time

  • With regular daily use, the residual magnetic field remains stable and consistent.

  • If the brake is not used for an extended period, the residual magnetism will gradually dissipate on its own.

Important Notes

  • Overheating reduces magnetic strength and increases the risk of coil failure.

  • Always avoid continuous energizing beyond what is required for the bending operation.

  • Use external airflow when possible to maintain safe operating temperature.
